About Authoritative Minesweeper
Authoritative Minesweeper is a reference site for the classic Minesweeper game. It publishes world rankings of best times, strategy guidance, and game downloads. The rankings list the current world records as 1 second for Easy, 8 seconds for Intermediate, and 29 seconds for Expert. Players can join the rankings and upload videos of their runs using the official Winmine clones Minesweeper Arbiter, Minesweeper X, and Viennasweeper.
The site states that the Windows version of Minesweeper is no longer accepted for world rankings, and it links a list of cheats that it says explains why. Downloads include the original Microsoft classic and more than 100 other Minesweeper games, with listed Windows versions ranging from Windows 3.1 to Windows 7. Pricing is not stated on the homepage.
