About Caplayground

CAPlayground is a web-based Core Animation editor for creating animated wallpapers for iOS and iPadOS from a desktop computer. The hosted version runs at caplayground.vercel.app, and the project can be run locally with Node.js 20+ and Bun.

If Supabase authentication keys are not provided, the site still runs but account features are disabled and protected routes show a message.

Caplayground FAQ

What is needed to run CAPlayground locally?
Node.js 20+ and Bun are required. Install dependencies with bun install, start the dev server with bun run dev, then open http://localhost:3000.
What happens if Supabase keys are not configured?
The site still runs, but account features are disabled. Sign-in and password pages show a notice and disable actions, and the account deletion API returns 501.
What license applies to CAPlayground?
The Creative Commons License applies to the source code. Use of the hosted service at caplayground.vercel.app is subject to Terms of Service, including attribution requirements for shared content.
