Dr. Link Check scans websites for broken and malicious links. Starting from a user-provided URL, its bot crawls HTML and CSS to examine internal links, outbound links, and links to images, style sheets and other resource files. Each link is checked for formatting, response time, SSL certificate validity and status codes such as 404 and 500, as well as blacklist matches and soft errors where page content indicates a problem despite a 200 OK response.
Results show where links appear in code and can be sorted, filtered and exported to CSV. Users can set monthly, weekly or daily automatic checks with email reports, and can set include or exclude rules, crawl speed limits and email recipients. The start-check interface requires JavaScript.
