dssjon/biblos: biblos.app
Biblos supports semantic Bible search and layered analysis through a GitHub project.

About dssjon/biblos: biblos.app
Biblos is a tool for semantic search and multi-layered analysis of biblical texts. It indexes Bible text in a Chroma vector database using instructor-large embeddings, retrieves passages by semantic similarity, and shows full chapters, Greek New Testament text with Dodson Greek Lexicon definitions, and Church Fathers' commentaries. Selected results can be summarized with Anthropic's Claude model through a Streamlit interface.
Running it locally requires installing Python dependencies, setting an ANTHROPIC_API_KEY environment variable, and launching with Streamlit. Rebuilding the Bible database is optional and takes about 18 minutes on an M1 Macbook Pro, plus additional time for commentaries. The project is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
