About Echosync

Echosync updates a destination folder from a source folder by applying only differences, for keeping a copy on an external drive or USB stick. It detects moved and renamed files, allows comparison before syncing, supports partial syncs, long paths over 255 characters and symbolic links, and can run in portable mode from the sync media. The Echocli command-line tool runs on Windows and Linux for automation.

Synchronization is one-way and the source is not modified. It does not merge changes made on both sides and does not keep multiple versions of a file. The graphical application requires Windows 10 64-bit or later; Linux use is through Echocli.
