About EUREF Permanent GNSS Network

The EUREF Permanent GNSS Network (EPN) is a pan-European network of continuously operating GNSS reference stations. It is coordinated by the EPN Central Bureau (EPN CB), which acts as a central information hub. Its primary purpose is to provide access to the European Terrestrial Reference System 89 (ETRS89), the standard precise GNSS coordinate system used throughout Europe for geolocation data.

Visitors can browse station information, coordinates, time series, data quality reports, and a data calendar. The site distributes GNSS data, station coordinates and velocities, and derived products, with web services and APIs for data integration. It also provides documentation, guidelines, and tools, and monitors station data flow and quality. All data distributed via EPN are openly available and free to use for research, education, and commercial applications, with citation required.

It suits national mapping agencies, station operators, data centres, analysis centres, researchers, developers, and commercial service providers working with GNSS or European reference frames. The EPN Central Bureau does not operate individual stations, which remain managed by their responsible agencies or institutions.
