About Feh

feh is a light-weight, configurable image viewer for desktop Linux systems. It is aimed at command line users and can also be started from graphical file managers. Besides viewing images, it can display text and thumbnail listings, show files that can or cannot be loaded, and set X11 backgrounds.

The project site lists several operation modes, packaging for Arch Linux, Debian, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and Ubuntu, and a license described as a variant of the MIT license. HTTP and FTP support is optional and depends on libcurl. Bug reports and feature requests are handled through the GitHub issue tracker, which the site prefers over email.
