About FILER: Functional genomics repository

FILER (FunctIonaL gEnomics Repository) is a human functional genomics database developed by NIAGADS. It brings together data from more than 20 sources into harmonized, indexed formats with consistent annotation and preprocessing. The collection includes 70,396 genomic tracks, 49.2 billion genomic intervals, and 1.87 TB of compressed files.

You can search by tissue and cell type, biosample type, assay, data type, data collection, or genomic coordinates. You can also browse datasets and annotations, upload and analyze your own data, and view summaries by data source, tissue and cell type, genomic feature type, and assay. A Deploy option allows installation on a local server or cloud computing instance.

FILER suits researchers working with human genetic and genomic data who need reproducible methods and integration with high-throughput analysis workflows. External users may freely download, analyze, and publish results based on FILER data with citation of FILER and the original data sources.
