About Financials Extension
Financials Extension is a Python-based extension for LibreOffice Calc that adds stock market data functionality to spreadsheets. It retrieves real-time and historical market data via web scraping from Yahoo Finance (supporting FX, crypto, equities, indices, futures, options) and Financial Times (supporting FX, equities, indices, futures), with only Yahoo offering historical data access. Version 3.8.0 and later require additional Python modules and system configuration for Yahoo data access to bypass the site's HTTPS fingerprinting protections.
