GNUnet
GNUnet provides tools for decentralized communication through a secure peer-to-peer networking framework.

About GNUnet
GNUnet is a network protocol stack and framework for building distributed applications. It supplies components for addressing, naming, routing, encrypted communication channels, resource discovery, and content distribution, with design attention to reducing exposure of communication metadata.
It is described as a self-organizing network and as free software as in freedom, with data-sharing decisions left to the user. It does not require a decentralized public ledger and so does not use continuous consensus mechanisms. As a framework, it provides building blocks for applications rather than a complete end-user application.
