About Guild AI

Guild AI is an open-source Python toolkit for automating, tracking and optimizing machine learning experiments. It runs unmodified training scripts and records each execution as a separate experiment, then automates trials using grid search, random search or Bayesian optimization. Runs can be compared and analyzed to help evaluate and improve models, and training-related operations such as data preparation and testing can be backed up. Runs can also be archived to S3 or other remote systems, and operations can be executed remotely on cloud accelerators. Models can be packaged and distributed for reproducibility. Archiving and remote execution depend on external systems and cloud services that users configure themselves. The project is distributed as a repository and PyPI release under the Apache-2.0 license; pricing information is not stated on the repository page.

Key features

  • Runs unmodified training scripts, capturing each run as a unique experiment
  • Automates trials with grid search, random search and Bayesian optimization
  • Compares and analyzes runs to understand and improve models
  • Backs up training operations such as data preparation and testing
  • Archives runs to S3 or other remote systems
  • Runs operations remotely on cloud accelerators and packages models
Best for: Machine learning practitioners and researchers who run Python training experiments and want to track, compare and optimize them without rewriting their scripts.
