About HAGR

The Human Ageing Genomic Resources (HAGR) is a collection of databases and tools for studying the genetics of human ageing using functional genomics, network analyses, systems biology and evolutionary analyses. It includes GenAge for ageing-related genes, GenDR for dietary-restriction-associated genes, LongevityMap for human longevity-associated variants, CellAge for senescence-associated genes, DrugAge for longevity-modulating compounds, and AnAge for animal ageing and life-history data.

It also provides genome resources for the naked mole-rat and bowhead whale, gene expression projects on ageing and dietary manipulation, cancer genomics studies, the Digital Ageing Atlas of age-related changes, and software including the Ageing Research Computational Tools (ARCT) Perl toolkit.

Key features

  • GenAge database of human and model-organism ageing-related genes
  • GenDR database of dietary-restriction-associated genes from experiments and expression data
  • LongevityMap database of human genetic variants associated with longevity
  • CellAge database of human cellular senescence-associated genes
  • DrugAge database of compounds modulating longevity in model organisms
  • AnAge database of animal ageing, longevity and life-history data
Best for: Researchers studying the genetics and genomics of human ageing and longevity.
Good for
  • Brings together gene, variant, drug, life-history, expression and genome resources
  • Includes results from genetic manipulation experiments and gene expression profiling
  • Offers computational tools including the ARCT Perl toolkit and demographic ageing-rate method
