About Headunit Revived

Headunit Revived is an Android app that turns an Android tablet or phone into an Android Auto receiver. It supports wired USB connections and several wireless methods, including USB wireless dongles, Native Mode over Wi-Fi Direct or Headunit Hotspot, Headunit Server developer mode, and Wireless Helper.

Android Auto 17.4 and newer can prevent legacy wireless triggers from launching projection, including Self-Mode and automated startup via Wireless Helper. The project documents a rooted workaround that re-enables the wireless startup receiver.
