About Hmong Studies Citations
Hmong Studies Citations is a web-based index of Hmong Studies publications from 1975 to 2018, maintained by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries. It supports searches by title and author, aggregating citations from the Hmong Studies Journal, Web of Science, ProQuest Dissertations and Theses, other Hmong-focused repositories, and Mark Pfeifer’s Hmong Studies bibliographies. The index includes item types not covered in Pfeifer’s bibliographies, such as book reviews, reports, and conference proceedings, and indexes works in multiple languages including English and HMoob Dawb. It does not include all Hmong-related publications, as works by Hmong scholars based outside the US were excluded due to access challenges, and most indexed works are in English, authored by white scholars, and produced in the US.
