JapanKnowledge is an online database that provides unified search across more than 80 Japanese and foreign-language dictionaries, encyclopedias, and collected works. It covers content such as the Japan Encyclopedia (Nipponica), the revised edition of the World Encyclopedia, Japanese language dictionaries, historical and place-name references, English and other foreign language dictionaries, terminology resources, and series like Toyo Bunko. The service states it contains over 1,900 volumes and more than 5 million entries.
Access requires a paid membership in either the Standard Course or Light Course, and the number of available contents differs by course. Optional contents are offered separately and require JapanKnowledge Personal membership; they cannot be purchased on their own.
