About Lucas Chess

Lucas Chess is a chess program for playing and training chess on a PC. It includes 57 chess engines that can be used from the start, with playing strengths from 0 to 3600 Elo. Users can adjust engine strength by limiting analysis depth, limiting thinking time, or changing how the engine decides its moves. Users can also choose an opening, start from a set position, or have the engine use an opening book.

The program offers a range of training modules, including basics such as coordinates and board vision, tactics, endgames, opening lines, and longer training sequences. It also supports competition play, including tournaments with a tutor, Swiss tournaments, and tournaments between engines. Users can add other engines, but only those that use the UCI protocol.
