About LunarCore
LunarCore is an open-source game server reimplementation for a turn-based anime game, published on GitHub. It implements basic game features such as logging in, team setup, inventory and scene/entity management, alongside monster battles, character techniques, crafting and consumables, NPC shops, a gacha system, mail and a friend system. Content modes listed include Forgotten Hall, Pure Fiction and Simulated Universe, with the latter described as finishable but missing many features.
Running it requires Java 21 JDK (Java 25 recommended) and MongoDB 4.0+, although the project includes a built-in internal MongoDB server so a separate MongoDB installation is not required. The server is built with the included Gradle wrapper, and config, text map and data folders are downloaded from a separate StarRailData repository. Client connection is documented through a Fiddler Classic script that redirects the game's hosts to localhost; the server ignores the password field at login.
