Magda
A federated, open-source data catalog for all your big data and small data.

About Magda
Magda is an open-source, federated data catalog. It aims to give organizations a single place to catalogue, enrich, search, track, and prioritize data, whether the data is big or small, internal or external, and stored as files, databases, or APIs. The system is designed around federation, providing a single view across data of interest regardless of where it is stored or where it was sourced. It can crawl external data sources, track changes, make automatic enhancements, and send notifications when changes occur.
Magda has been used in production for over a year by data.gov.au and is described as relatively mature for open data search. The project is under active development by a small team; newer features may not be documented well or may require specific configuration. General-purpose data catalog use is supported but may have rough edges.
