About MathDF

MathDF is a web math solver that combines a calculator, step-by-step solutions and an AI chat in one input field. Typing, using the math keyboard, photographing a problem or drawing it by hand produces an expression; changes to the input are analyzed in the browser, and any math expression is solved by the built-in calculator under the field before anything is sent to the AI. Covered topics include derivatives, integrals, limits, differential equations, equations, inequalities, complex numbers, matrices and basic arithmetic.

When a problem can be solved step by step, a link opens the matching calculator with the expression already loaded. Text and images can also be sent to the AI chat for explanations, word problems, proofs or checking a solution, in either a math-oriented or a general-purpose mode. The interface is offered in many languages. Pricing is not stated on the homepage.

Key features

  • Step-by-step solutions for derivatives, integrals, equations, inequalities and limits
  • Photo and handwriting recognition converts camera or drawn input into expressions
  • Math keyboard for fractions, roots, powers, sums, limits, matrices and Greek letters
  • AI chat with math tutor and general assistant modes, switchable at any time
  • Browser-side evaluation shows roots, derivatives and integrals while you type
  • Interface available in a large number of languages
Best for: Students and researchers who want immediate math answers plus optional step-by-step explanations or AI chat help.
Good for
  • Many problem types are solved instantly in the browser before anything is sent to the AI
  • The step-by-step link opens the matching calculator with the expression preloaded
  • Words and formulas can be mixed in one message, so a formula can be edited without retyping
Watch out for
  • Pricing is not stated on the homepage
  • Step-by-step solutions appear only when a problem can be solved that way
  • Text and images sent to the AI chat go to an assistant outside the browser, and recognized expressions may need symbol fixes before solving

MathDF FAQ

Does MathDF solve problems without using the AI chat?
Yes. Every change of the input is analyzed in the browser, and if it contains a math expression the built-in calculator solves it under the field before anything is sent to the AI.
Can I submit a problem as a picture instead of typing it?
Yes. You can take a photo, draw the problem by hand, or attach an image from your gallery; recognition converts it to an expression in the input, where you can fix a symbol before solving.
What is the difference between the two assistant modes?
The mode button only selects the system prompt, either math-oriented or general-purpose. Nothing is restricted, you can ask anything in either mode, and you can switch at any time.
