About Mines JD

Mines JD is a browser-based, multiplayer version of the classic Minesweeper puzzle game. Several players work on the same board at the same time, and the goal is to clear mines by placing flags on them and to score more points than others. Players reveal squares with the mouse, flag suspected mines, and earn points for correct flags and revealed squares. Hitting a hidden mine costs points instead of ending the game.

Scoring uses a streak multiplier that rises the longer a player goes without a mistake and resets after any mistake. Players can earn gold through achievements and level increases, and gold is used to earn more flags. The homepage lists difficulty settings from 8x8 to 256x256 boards, but it does not describe how each one plays. The directory lists web and Android as platforms, but the homepage text does not describe a separate Android app. Pricing is not stated.

Mines JD FAQ

How are points earned?
Flagging a mine gives +1 multiplied by the current multiplier. Revealing a square gives +1, up to +3. Triggering a mine costs -10 and placing a flag on a safe square costs -1, both multiplied. The multiplier rises with a streak of correct moves and resets after a mistake.
What happens if I reveal a square with a mine?
You do not explode and the game does not end. The homepage says you lose points instead.
How can I get more flags?
The homepage says you earn gold by completing an achievement or increasing in level, and gold can be used to earn more flags.
