MoboMaps
MoboMaps maps PCIe lanes across motherboards and helps identify bandwidth conflicts and compare board layouts.

About MoboMaps
MoboMaps shows how PCIe lanes route from the CPU and chipset to PCIe and M.2 slots on motherboards. Users can select installed devices to see shared lanes and bandwidth conflicts, and compare two boards side by side.
Coverage is listed as 217 boards, limited to AMD AM5 models from ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte and ASRock across X870E, X870, X670E, B850 and B650 chipsets; Intel support is listed as coming soon.
Key features
- Show CPU and chipset lane routing to PCIe and M.2 slots
- Toggle installed devices to identify shared lanes and conflicts
- Compare two motherboards side by side by specifications
- Filter boards by brand, chipset, and form factor
- Search and browse mapped motherboard models
- Display slot generation and lane width
Best for: People selecting an AMD AM5 motherboard who need to check lane sharing for GPUs and NVMe drives.
Good for
- Shows lane source for each PCIe and M.2 slot
- Identifies shared lanes based on selected devices
- Allows direct side-by-side comparison of two boards
Watch out for
- Limited to AMD AM5 boards, with Intel support listed as coming soon

MoboMaps FAQ
Which motherboards does MoboMaps support?
200+ AMD AM5 motherboards across X870E, X870, X670E, B850, and B650 chipsets from ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, and ASRock. Intel support is coming soon.
What is PCIe lane sharing?
When two or more slots use the same PCIe lanes. For example, installing an NVMe drive in a shared M.2 slot might cause the GPU slot to drop from x16 to x8.
What is the difference between CPU lanes and chipset lanes?
CPU lanes connect directly to the processor with lower latency, and are the source of Gen5 bandwidth. Chipset lanes route through the chipset uplink to the CPU, and devices on them share that uplink bandwidth.
