About PaintingTube
PaintingTube is a website that collects art videos about painting, drawing, art history and related subjects. The site describes itself as an aggregator with a human-curated selection, meaning its team chooses videos for quality and relevance rather than relying on algorithms. It holds more than 9,000 videos in over 60 categories, ranging from acrylics to watercolor, with subcategories such as animal and wildlife art. The site also includes reference videos for figure and gesture drawing, including live model sessions, and documentaries and TV shows on art history.
The Draw Now feature lets visitors draw along with a selected video in a browser-based workspace with digital brushes, pencils, colors and other tools, without installing software. All videos are embedded from YouTube according to YouTube's terms, so the content is hosted there rather than on PaintingTube. The homepage does not state pricing.
