About Planedrift
Planedrift is a browser-based player for classic Infocom text adventures. It includes Zork I, Zork II, and Zork III, which can be played without installing software. Users can also open their own .z3 Infocom story file or resume a previous game.
The player offers auto-saves and rewinds, a searchable transcript, and a way to capture to-do items while playing. It has light and dark themes and adjustable fonts and colours. Planedrift plays only story files ending in .z3. Its homepage says it is tested against the Masterpieces of Infocom versions of games. Infocom released many more text adventures in the 1980s, and the homepage points to the Obsessively Complete Infocom Catalog for archived releases.
