About Ruffle Android

Ruffle Android is a native Android application for Ruffle in a very early stage. Prebuilt APKs are provided as release assets, with arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, x86, and universal builds.

The app can open SWF files through the device file picker or by entering or pasting a URL, and can register to open .swf files from other apps. File handling depends on the picker or opening app and may not always work, and text input requires a physical keyboard because there is no built-in virtual keyboard.

Ruffle Android FAQ

Which APK version should I install?
For most modern phones, tablets, single board computers, and small game consoles use arm64-v8a. Use armeabi-v7a for older 32-bit ARM, x86_64 for rare Intel/Microsoft tablets, Chromebooks, Android-x86 or Waydroid, and universal for all four architectures, though it is huge.
Can the app open SWF content from a link?
Yes, you can enter or paste a URL into the text field. There is no direct clipboard open.
