About Shortkeys

Shortkeys is a browser extension for assigning custom keyboard shortcuts to browser actions. Users can choose from more than 100 built-in actions covering tab management, scrolling, navigation, zoom, bookmarks, downloads and video controls, or write their own JavaScript to run from a shortcut. Keys are captured with a recorder that supports multi-key sequences, and several actions can be chained into macros with delays between steps.

Shortcut packs for setups such as Vim, YouTube and GitHub can be installed in one click, and shortcuts can be organised into collapsible groups that can be enabled, disabled or shared. An exported JSON file can be converted into a shareable link that others import. The homepage lists Chrome and Firefox install options and states that cloud sync works across Chrome instances through the user's Google account, so that sync depends on an external Google account.
