About Vocatra

Vocatra is a console-based vocabulary trainer. It reads one or more vocabulary files, asks for each word in turn, and lets the user type an answer. Users can choose an order mode that goes through the list sequentially or a random mode. Other preferences are described in the man page.

Vocatra needs to be installed on the user's system, either from source packages, a Debian or RPM package, or an Ubuntu repository. Source packages are distributed through SourceForge, and the development code is available from a Subversion repository. Users must create their own vocabulary file before the program can be used.
