About ARC Toolkit

ARC Toolkit is a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that tests a single web page for accessibility on demand. It checks the page against WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA guidelines and reports failures grouped by element, so each element that failed one or more rules can be reviewed. Recommendations include code-level advice for fixing WCAG errors, and the tool can also flag color contrast issues and show the tab order as a visual path.

The toolkit uses the same rules engine as ARC Monitoring and the ARC API, so reports should match when the tools are used together. The source describes ARC Toolkit as one part of the wider ARC Platform, and it suggests using ARC Monitoring dashboards to prioritize work before running detailed page-level testing with the toolkit. The toolkit itself is free for all users. Testing is limited to one page at a time, and the source does not describe coverage of other WCAG versions or levels.
