About Ariang

AriaNg is a web frontend for aria2, a download utility. It is written in pure HTML and JavaScript, so no compiler or runtime environment is needed: the files can be placed on a web server and opened in a browser. The layout is responsive, so it works on desktop and mobile devices. Once connected to aria2 over RPC, AriaNg lets users sort, search, retry and reorder tasks, filter files by type or extension, view speed charts, and change aria2 settings. It supports multiple aria2 RPC hosts, export and import of settings, a dark theme, a command-line API and several interface languages. It ships in three versions: a standard web-server version, an all-in-one single HTML file for local use, and AriaNg Native for local use without a browser. The standard version loads language resources asynchronously and cannot be opened directly from the local file system; the all-in-one version or a web container is recommended instead.

Key features

  • Sort and search tasks, files and BitTorrent peers; retry tasks and reorder by dragging
  • Filter files by type or extension; tree view for multi-directory tasks
  • Full support for aria2 settings and multiple aria2 RPC hosts
  • Download and upload speed charts for aria2 or a single task
  • Three versions: standard, all-in-one single HTML file, and AriaNg Native
  • Dark theme, multi-language interface and export/import of settings
Best for: People already running aria2 who want a browser-based interface for managing their downloads across desktop and mobile devices.
