Coronavirus Government Response Tracker
The Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker collected policy measures from 2020–2022 to compare government responses around the world.

About Coronavirus Government Response Tracker
The Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker (OxCGRT) is a research project that collected information on government policy measures to tackle COVID-19 during 2020, 2021 and 2022. Its dataset records policy settings for over 180 countries and over 200 subnational jurisdictions, covering 23 policy indicators such as school closures, travel restrictions, mask mandates and vaccination policies. The indicators are also combined into a set of policy indices. The data for almost all jurisdictions runs from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2022, and the data for individual Chinese provinces continues to 28 February 2023. The dataset is available on GitHub, and interactive charts of each indicator are published through Our World in Data.
By May 2023, most countries had lifted their COVID-19 policies, and the project shifted its focus from collecting data to research and policy recommendations for future pandemics. The dataset is therefore a record of past policy responses rather than a source of current policy.
