Visual Studio Code for CS50 is CS50's adaptation of Codespaces for students and teachers. It includes tools for Bash, C, C++, Docker, Flask, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, Java, Lua, Node.js, Python, R, Ruby, SQLite, and X Window System. It is localized for Chinese, Czech, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. Environments are based on Ubuntu 24.04, and other software can be installed with apt, gem, npm, and pip.
