About Czech National Authority Database
The Portal of National Authorities of the Czech Republic is a project of the National Library of the Czech Republic that gathers information about the creation and use of national authority files on a single site. It provides access to the Czech National Authority Database, covering name, subject and title authorities.
Name authorities include personal and corporate authorities (names of institutions and events), authorities for genders and families, and author/title authorities for use in name and subject processing. Subject authorities cover thematic, geographical, formal and chronological headings, and also publish the Konspekt groups file in Czech and English along with authorities for places of publication of old prints. Title authorities, introduced in trial operation in 2006, cover Czech book production and musical works, including sheet music and sound recordings. Records are accessible in MARC 21 and UNIMARC formats. The site is in Czech and no pricing information is provided.
