About ESO Science Archive Facility

The ESO Science Archive Facility contains and provides access to data from ESO telescopes at La Silla Paranal Observatory, including the APEX submillimeter telescope. It stores raw data with corresponding calibrations and selected products generated at ESO or contributed by the community, plus raw UKIDSS/WFCAM data from the UK Infrared Telescope in Hawaii.

Access is available through raw data query forms, the Science Portal for processed data, the Catalogue Facility for catalogue data, and programmatic VO-compatible tools and direct retrieval by file name. Principal investigators have exclusive access during a proprietary period, normally one year. Browsing does not require authentication, and use of archive data in publications should be acknowledged.
