About Hydra

Hydra Launcher is an open-source gaming platform for managing a gaming library. It is written in Node.js with Electron, React and TypeScript, and Rust, with libtorrent providing the torrent engine.

It supports adding owned games to a library, showing current play on a profile to friends, saving progress with Hydra Cloud, unlocking achievements, and browsing a catalogue with a suggestion algorithm. Building from source requires Node.js with Yarn, a Rust toolchain, Git and a C++ toolchain, and prebuilt torrent-bridge binaries are provided only for Windows x64 and Linux x64.

  • Add games you own to your library

  • Save game progress in the cloud with Hydra Cloud
  • Unlock achievements

Best for: People who want an open-source application to keep their game library, saves, and discovery together.
