About LEGENDARY

Legendary is a free and open-source command-line replacement for the Epic Games Launcher. It authenticates with Epic's service, downloads and installs games and DLC, applies delta patches and updates, launches games with online authentication for multiplayer/DRM, syncs cloud saves compatible with EGL, and runs games with WINE on Linux/macOS. It can also import/export installed games from/to the Epic Games Launcher, though this is unsupported for the macOS version of EGL.

It currently has no graphical user interface and must be run from a terminal. Supported systems are Linux, Windows 8.1+, and macOS 12.0+; 32-bit operating systems are not supported. The Python package requires Python 3.10+ (64-bit), and on Windows pythonnet is not yet compatible with 3.14+. A simple GUI is listed as planned.
