About Lishogi
Lishogi is an open-source online shogi server forked from Lichess and described as free and ad-free. The GitHub repository hosts the code behind lishogi.org, which supports real-time and correspondence games against other users, play against engines such as YaneuraOu and Fairy-Stockfish, puzzles, studies, tournaments, simuls, forums, teams, a search engine and shogi variants. Analysis can run locally in the browser or be distributed across the server with shoginet.
The project is written in Scala 2.13 with the Play framework and a TypeScript web client, with shogi logic contained in scalashogi, and is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License 3 or any later version. Supported browsers are the last 10 versions of Chrome-based browsers and Firefox, with Safari 12+ receiving reasonable support; older browsers, including any version of Internet Explorer, will probably not work. Local analysis is fastest in Chrome-based browsers and second fastest in Firefox.
