About Maloja

Maloja is a self-hosted music scrobble database for creating personal listening statistics and charts. It stores scrobbles locally without syncing to a public music database, supports its own tagging schema, and handles associated artists, multi-artist tracks, manual entries, standard scrobbling apps, and forwarding scrobbles to other services.

It is intended to run in Docker or Podman rather than on bare metal, does not include social networking, radios, or recommendations, and requires Last.fm and Spotify API keys to display images.

Key features

  • Store scrobbles locally without syncing to public music database
  • Use existing apps or extensions via standard-compliant API
  • Submit manual scrobbles through web interface
  • Group associated artists and solo projects in charts
  • Credit individual artists on multi-artist and featuring tracks
  • Forward scrobbles to other services from server
Best for: Listeners who want to self-host their scrobble history in Docker and track personal charts without social features.
