minisign
Minisign signs files and verifies signatures through a simple command-line tool.

About minisign
Minisign is a command-line tool for signing files and verifying signatures using Ed25519. It generates a key pair, creates .minisig signature files, can sign multiple files at once, and supports trusted comments that are checked during verification.
Verification requires the .minisig file to be present in the same directory. Minisign signatures can be verified by OpenBSD signify, but signify signatures cannot be verified by Minisign because it requires a trusted comment section.
Key features
- Generate key pair with encrypted secret key storage
- Sign one file or multiple files at once
- Add trusted comment verified on verification
- Verify signatures using key file or base64 string
- Recreate public key file from secret key
- Change or remove secret key password
- Provides binaries for Linux, macOS, Windows, and WebAssembly plus source code
- Signs and verifies with low memory use by pre-hashing content by default
- Includes trusted comment that cannot be changed without the secret key
- Cannot verify signatures made by signify because trusted comment section is required
- Verification requires the .minisig signature file in the same directory
- Support for legacy non-prehashed signatures will eventually be removed
