About No Port Forwarding
This is a June 29, 2023 IVPN blog post announcing the gradual phase-out of port forwarding from the IVPN Pro plan. It cites large-scale abuse, server and bandwidth effects, an influx of new customers, increased law enforcement inquiries, and strain on data center relationships as reasons. It gives a timeline for the removal and explains who is affected. As of 29 June 2023, new Pro customers are not offered port forwarding and existing Pro customers cannot reserve new ports. All reserved ports were to be disabled on 30 September 2023. Standard accounts and Pro accounts with the feature disabled are unaffected.
