Notability
Notability combines handwritten notes, audio, and documents with AI summaries, flashcards, and quizzes.
About Notability
Notability is a note-taking tool that combines handwritten notes, audio recording and imported documents, then applies AI to that material. It can produce summaries, practice questions, quizzes and flashcards from your notes, answer questions about a note through a chat feature, generate action-item checklists from meeting notes or recordings, and turn a YouTube video into a note with transcript and summary. Live audio transcription and collaboration are also listed.
The homepage advertises a free download and a back-to-school sale of up to 20% off all plans, but does not state actual prices or which features belong to which plan. Apps are offered for Mac, Windows, iPad, iPhone, Android and the web. The site also describes a Learn Guarantee, saying that if Notability doesn't help, it will cover the cost for the rest of the semester; the terms are only available behind a further link.
