About Open Science Resource Atlas 2.0 (AZON)
AZON (Open Science Resource Atlas 2.0) is a web platform that provides scientific resources in open digital form. It was built within the project "Aktywna platforma informacyjna e-scienceplus.pl" and is maintained with partner universities and a research institute in Poland. The resources were collected and prepared by the partners and include books, magazines, scientific articles, teaching materials, presentations, photos, 3D models, audio and video files, databases, and conference materials. The homepage describes tens of thousands of resources, and the number is still growing.
Access to the resources is free and does not require registration. Each resource states its own license. Some can be used without restriction (public domain), while others are shared under conditions such as author attribution or no modification. Resources can be searched, viewed, downloaded, printed, and cited, and most can be redistributed if the license terms are followed. The platform also describes resources with keywords from external vocabularies such as MeSH, GEMET, AgroVoc, CLARIN, and Geonames, and provides metadata in RDF and JSON-LD formats for machine processing.
