About opensource

STORM is an open source knowledge curation system that researches a topic using Internet search and generates a Wikipedia-like article with citations. It works in two stages: a pre-writing stage that collects references and generates an outline, and a writing stage that uses the outline and references to generate the article. Co-STORM adds a collaborative mode in which a person can observe the discourse or participate alongside LLM experts and a moderator.

The project states the system cannot produce publication-ready articles and that significant edits are often required. Experienced Wikipedia editors have found it useful for pre-writing research and exploration.
