About Quick-Tile-Settings
Quick-Tile-Settings is an open-source Android app that adds Quick Settings tiles for toggling Private DNS and USB Debugging. Each tile can be configured, and both tiles support an optional auto-revert that restores the previous setting after a chosen delay. The Private DNS tile cycles through Off, Auto, and selected hostnames. The app includes predefined options for Cloudflare, AdGuard DNS, and Quad9, and users can add their own hostnames. Optional settings can disable Private DNS while a VPN is active or switch it based on WiFi or mobile data.
The app needs the WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission to change these system settings. Android does not let apps grant this permission through the standard permission dialog. The app's in-app guidance covers granting it through ADB, Shizuku, or Root. The app requires Android 9 (Pie, API 29) or higher. On Android 13 and later, background monitoring modes may also require the POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission.
