About rapaio

Rapaio is a Java library for statistics, data mining and machine learning. It includes statistical tools, distributions and hypothesis testing, plus algorithms such as Naive Bayes, logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, boosting methods, SVM, regression models, PCA and KMeans, with graphical and linear algebra utilities.

Version 8.1.0 is distributed via Maven Central as rapaio-lib. It can be explored in Jupyter notebooks using the rapaio-jupyter-kernel, which requires a Jupyter installation.

Key features

  • Core statistical tools, distributions and hypothesis testing
  • Classification with Naive Bayes and binary logistic regression
  • Decision trees, random forests, AdaBoost and gradient boosting trees
  • Support vector machines including BinarySMO implementation
  • Linear, ridge and relevant vector machine regression
  • PCA, KMeans, graphical tools and linear algebra utilities
Best for: Java developers who need statistics, data mining and machine learning functions in Java projects.
Good for
  • Written completely in Java
  • Distributed via Maven Central as rapaio-lib version 8.1.0
  • Supports interactive exploration via Jupyter notebooks with dedicated kernel
Watch out for
  • Notebook use requires installing Jupyter and the Rapaio Jupyter kernel
