TONEX is a software ecosystem for guitar and bass tone from IK Multimedia. It uses AI Machine Modeling to reproduce the sound of amplifiers, cabinets, combos, and pedals. It is available as a standalone application and as a plug-in for use in a DAW on Mac and PC.
With TONEX 2 Player, you can play, practice, record, and create sounds using Tone Models, presets, and collections. The Home Page combines gear, a visual signal chain, and a tone library with search, folders, favorites, and library management. It includes 15 built-in effects, VIR cabinet technology with custom impulse response support, and access to ToneNET for discovering and downloading content. You can also capture your own gear with TONEX Modeler and integrate with TONEX hardware and AmpliTube 5.
It suits guitar and bass players who work on computer, including those recording at home or building complete rigs in software. An optional TONEX Rig upgrade adds a 12-block engine, up to four Tone Models in one preset, dual-path routing, and 70+ effects.
