About XboxDownload

XboxDownload is a download assistant for Xbox, Microsoft Store, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, EA App, Battle.net, Epic Games, Ubisoft Connect, Riot Games, and Rockstar Games, and addresses access issues for Steam Store and Community and GitHub. It can retrieve Microsoft Store app and game download links, display intercepted download addresses, and install downloaded Microsoft Store games and apps.

Setup involves IP speed testing, selecting a local IP on the same segment as the Xbox, enabling DNS and HTTP(S) listening, and setting the Xbox manual DNS to the PC IP. The redirect from international Xbox domains to domestic cn domains is only enabled when the interface language is Simplified Chinese, and Xbox DNS must be returned to automatic after downloading.

XboxDownload FAQ

How does the acceleration work?
It redirects Xbox download links from assets1.xboxlive.com to assets1.xboxlive.cn to use domestic servers. This redirect is only enabled when the interface language is Simplified Chinese.
Can it be used without keeping a PC on?
Yes, the documentation describes using OpenWrt with Lighttpd or Nginx URL rewrite, or writing tested cn and com domain IPs into router Hosts.
What should be done after the Xbox download finishes?
Change Xbox DNS back to automatic, otherwise it cannot connect after the assistant is closed.
