About XReveal

XReveal is a Windows application described as providing on-the-fly decryption of DVD, Blu-ray and UHD movie discs. It runs in the background and is said to make a disc's contents readable by the operating system and other programs as soon as the disc is inserted, without storing data on the hard disk. Optional region-code removal is intended to make a movie region free for playback software and standalone players. The program can also back up a disc as an ISO image or folder, verify the integrity of Blu-ray M2TS files including decrypted ones, and change an ISO file's volume label.

It runs natively on Windows x64, x86 and arm64 devices from XP through Windows 11 and requires about 5 MB of hard drive space. The current release is 3.0.0, with beta builds also published. Separate Blu-ray playback plugins for VLC and Kodi are offered as a distinct download. Pricing is not stated on the homepage.
