YouTube Cinema
A userscript that presents YouTube in a cinema-style, fullscreen-like view without entering true fullscreen mode.
About YouTube Cinema
YouTube Cinema is a userscript that expands the YouTube video player to fill the browser viewport, similar to fullscreen, without entering the browser's true fullscreen mode. Browser tabs stay accessible, and the page remains scrollable down to the video title.
The script runs only on youtube.com and requires a user script manager extension, such as Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey, to install. The listing states that the mode can now activate even when YouTube's theater mode is off. The author's notes also mention added animations and faster activation.
