About AI Context Linter

AI Context Linter is a GitHub Action that checks AI coding context files such as CLAUDE.md, .cursorrules, AGENTS.md, COPILOT.md and similar files. It looks for hardcoded API keys and private paths, structural issues such as missing sections, empty headings or overlong files, and vague, conflicting or redundant instructions.

Security findings are treated as errors that fail the build, while structure and instruction issues are warnings and additional file-type checks are informational. It auto-detects context files in a repository and can be adjusted with file patterns, a token limit, and a config file that disables selected rules.
