About Breezy Weather

Breezy Weather is a free, open-source Android weather app that presents forecasts and observations through charts and Material 3 Expressive blocks. It draws on more than 50 weather sources and covers daily and hourly forecasts up to 16 days, precipitation for the next hour, severe weather and precipitation alerts, air quality, pollen and mold, humidity, UV index, visibility, pressure, and sun and moon information.

The app also offers a large selection of widgets, a live wallpaper, custom icon packs, automatic dark mode, and localization settings including number, unit, and alternate-calendar formatting. Current location is optional and not enabled by default; when used, an IP location service can be selected instead of GPS so less accurate coordinates are sent to the weather source. The project states the app collects no personal data and includes no trackers or automatic crash reporters, while individual weather sources have their own privacy policies linked from the app. A separate flavor restricts sources to those hosted on FOSS networks.
