codex-seo FAQ

How is Codex SEO installed?
Clone the repository and run install.sh on Linux/macOS or install.ps1 on Windows, or use the one-line install command for release v1.9.6-codex.5. The installer copies skills to ~/.codex/skills/, agents to ~/.codex/agents/, and creates a Python virtual environment.
How do I start an analysis after installation?
Restart Codex after installation, then ask naturally. A /seo command is not required, for example asking for a full SEO check or a review for schema, Core Web Vitals, image SEO, and AI search readiness.
Where are credentials stored?
Runtime credentials stay outside the repository under Codex/local config paths.
